Snorkeling

Snorkeling in Pula and south Istria is one of the top summer activities. Snorkeling is safe, easy and enjoyable for all ages and skill levels. It’s an ideal adventure for families and friends.

What is snorkeling, anyway?
Snorkeling is swimming or floating along the sea surface and enjoying the underwater world equipped with a mask, a snorkel, and swim fins. Snorkelers can take a short dive down to take a closer look at something interesting below them.

The mask allows having a clear vision underwater, the snorkel to breathe with the face submerged by sea, and the swim fins to move with less effort and more control.

Snorkeling does not require any special training or strong physical effort. It allows us to see the beauty of the underwater world, and provides amazing health benefits.

If you like taking pictures, snorkeling is also an amazing opportunity to take epic underwater shots of marine life. For that, all you’ll need is a waterproof camera.

There are many ways to learn about the marine wilderness, but the best way to experience the underwater world is to simply put on a mask, dip your face beneath the surface, and open an unforgettable window of wonders!

What I can see while snorkeling?
There’s a wide variety of what may be found below and above the sea surface when snorkeling in Pula and south Istria. From colorful fishes to octopuses, sea cucumbers, sea urchins and sea stars as well as different types of sea sponges, crabs and anemones…

If you’re lucky you’ll be able to spot colorful sea slugs or even a seahorse.

You are less likely to see sea mammals than any other marine species when snorkeling. They often stay away from noise and boats. You may see bottlenose dolphins when you’re above water, but less likely when you’re snorkeling among the reefs.

What are the best spots for snorkeling?
Snorkeling is mostly practiced freely, entering the water from a beach or rocks. However, to reach some spots located in remote areas, a boat can be needed.

We offer quality, FUN snorkeling tours for up to 12 people, small enough we can ensure you have a great time underwater! Choose between a day or half-day snorkeling boat trips which allows you to snorkel off the boat directly and enjoy these spots, like reefs, sea caves and islands.
