BIKE’N SNORKEL

On this FUN and adventurous Bike’N Snorkel tour our local guides will show you all must-see spots along the Pula’s coastline paths on two wheels and take you on a FUN filled snorkeling boat trip to the Pigeon cliffs and Muzil peninsula.

 

We’ll provide you with quality bike, helmet and bottle of water.

 

First part of the tour begins from the meeting point, the town’s symbol – the Arena of Pula and provides you the enjoyment of a unique, unforgettable and FUN bike ride along the coastline paths by getting to know Pula’s history and its cult locations.

 

You’ll ride through ex-military zones, thick pine forests, climb to the top of fortifications with breathtaking view of old town, port and shipyard „Uljanik“ with more than 160 years long tradition.

At Soja you’ll ride in the Naval Cemetery which is the last resting place of those who were killed on the Baron Gautsch steamship during WW1, and the WW2 victims.

 

After that, you’ll continue riding along the Lungomare, a over 4 km long promenade between thick pine forest and the sea, connecting three famous beaches Valkane, Gortan cove and Mornar.

BRIJUNI PANORAMA

In short, on this relaxing and FUN boat excursion our friendly crew will show you all must-see spots from Pula to Brijuni islands and take you to the small fisherman settlement Fažana, where you’ll have free time until the return to Pula.

 

Prior to departure a welcome drink (homemade brandy) will be offered.

 

Our tour starts from Pula harbor in which there is a naval base and the Uljanik shipyard, founded in 1856 in the carefully selected bay of Pula as the main war harbor and the naval base of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.

Shortly after departure from harbor we’ll anchor the boat in front of Pigeons cave. Once in the water the real FUN starts. You’ll have opportunity to swim in a school of fish and go on a short swim into the cave where there is no natural light and explore the hidden interior and cave inhabitants with a flashlight.

 

The Pigeons cave is a perfect place for a FUN and exciting adventure for everyone, even for the youngest. Also, the brave ones will have the opportunity to try the exciting cliff jumping from the 9-meter top of the cave, a popular summer FUN activity.

 

After the swimming, cave exploring and cliff jumping, you’re going on a panoramic cruise where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Pula’s rocky shoreline and highest cliffs.

On the route to the southernmost cape of Veli Brijun, where the lighthouse Peneda lights the way for sailors since 1877, you’ll be served a tasty lunch (grilled fish, meat or veggie) while admiring the beauties of the Brijuni islands.

 

We’ll pass near island of Sv.Jerolim and Kozada, cross Fažana Channel protected by Brijuni Islands and sail close to the luxurious yachts berthed in the harbor of Veli Brijun, surrounded by hotels and a golf course, dates back to the Austrian period when Brijuni began to develop into a health resort and a fashionable retreat for the elite.

 

On the northern edge of Veli Brijun, in an enclosed area stretching over 9 hectares, lies the Safari Park, and if you’re lucky enough, you might spot wild animals near the shore. While cruising through the strait between Veli Brijun island and Fažana, you’ll have the opportunity to hand feed seagulls as they glide along with the speed of the boat.

DOLPHINS AT SUNSET

On this unforgettable Dolphin Watching trip our friendly crew will take you on a cruise just off the coast of Brijuni Islands to enjoy a close-up view of playful dolphins jumping with a spectacular sunset in the background. Grab your camera and hop aboard.

“Boreas” is a custom dive/snorkel boat built to provide guests with easy access to and from the water.

 

Once in the water the real FUN starts. You’ll be looking for many types of underwater plants and creatures, including colorful fishes and marine species like sea urchins, starfishes, sea cucumber and many others…

 

Keep in mind that your guide cannot control the nature, he can only do his best to show you as much as possible to fill your snorkeling adventure with FUN.

When visiting here, you’re likely to find locals of all ages and backgrounds looking to kick back, relax in the shade of the thick pine forest or barbecue and enjoy ice-cold beer. On the island there is also a buffet which, besides offering drinks and snacks, offers the possibility of ordering barbecued meals.

Activities on this small, city island vary… young children with beach toys playing in the shallow waters, teenagers playing volleyball or five-a-side football on the grassy fields. On this Snorkeling Adventure our friendly crew will take you on a FUN filled boat trip to the Pigeons cave and Muzil peninsula where you’ll have the opportunity to explore sea cave and underwater world just a few feet under the surface.

 

We’ll provide you with all the gear you’ll need for your snorkeling adventure such a mask, snorkel and fins.

 

Shortly after departure from Stoja we’ll anchor the boat near the Pigeons cave where your snorkeling adventure will start. Pay careful attention to the pre-snorkel briefing, as a few basic safety rules and snorkeling tips will be given.

There are places where we can look for holes and try to find octopus inside, or snorkel along rocky coastline and search for small creatures while remaining in shallow water. If we’re lucky we’ll be able to spot colorful sea slugs or even seahorses:) Awesome!

 

In the deeper water some bigger predatory fish can show up, hunting other smaller fishes or even large shoal of fish can cut our way, such a stunning experience!
